Bringing Telehealth to the Finger Lakes
As part of an ongoing pilot that launched in January 2024, three Five Star Bank branches serving Seneca and Steuben counties have been equipped with On-Demand Health Stations that allow users to measure and track key health indicators, including blood pressure and weight, and also facilitate live, on-demand telehealth appointments with UR Medicine providers.
Branches selected for the initiative are located in communities with few locally-based health care providers, and where many residents lack ready access to the internet at home.
Supporting Your Physical and Financial Well-Being
The initiative marks the first time a health system has partnered with a financial institution to provide access to care via telemedicine-equipped health stations.
While a bank may seem an unlikely player in this space, having served this region for more than 200 years, Five Star Bank understands the unique challenges our rural communities face and the link between physical and financial well-being.
